Random I-Tunes Song of The Moment: Crazy Dreams By Patsy Cline

For $8 you get a deck of cards . . . that looks cool . . . and has some other stuff . . . but you could've figured that out by reading the ad copy.

It's a deck of cards for Pete's sake. What can you say about it? Well as it turns out, there are a couple points worthy of discussion.

First, if you're a deck collector, get it. Don't even bother reading my review. Just go buy this deck. Everything that comes with the deck is outlined in the ad copy. You can watch the trailer to see if you like the look and feel of the deck.

The cards are created by the Bicycle peeps, so you know they're great quality. They handle well and are very smooth. The images on the deck are beautifully and . . . well . . . timeless. They remind me of what a graphic novel version of The Time Machine by H.G. Wells might look like.

If you read my review of the Dark Deco Deck, you might recognize the fact that the above portion of the review is mostly a cut-and-paste from the "Deco" review.

As a personal choice, I would choose the Timeless over the Dark Deco Deck. I like the art and the graphics better, and I think there is more presentational possibilities with the Timeless deck. There are time travel ideas . . . just the concept of time in general, a specific time an event happened . . . etc.

The ad copy mentions a duplicate King of Diamonds with a different time on it than the other King of Diamonds . . . in my deck it was the King of Hearts rather than the Diamonds, but that's a minor point. The concept is cool. I really like the shattered clock card as well. Again, as with the "Deco" deck, there is a lot of potential for presentation.

Also, like the "Deco" that will have to be up to your imagination because for $8 you get a deck of cards . . . that looks cool . . . and has some other stuff . . . but you could've figured that out by reading the ad copy.

Final Verdict:
5 stars with a Stone Status of Gem.
