Random I-Tunes Song of The Moment: Hungry For Love by Patsy Cline

I'm not sure if I'm Hungry For Love (thank you Patsy Cline), but I am craving salt. This product is a gimmick that allows you to modify a deck of cards (borrowed or otherwise) such that you have control over the location of one or many cards in the deck. For those of you in the know, reread my opening line and you'll recognize the method - a method which is old as the hills. However, this gimmick replaces the table variety with something much more sinister that works much better.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about, that's ok. Just know this. You'll receive with this DVD a gimmick that will last you hundreds (or more) of performances. This gimmick will allow you to do effects that are nearly impossible otherwise. The gimmick is invisible (literally). The DVD teaches six different effects you can do with this gimmick. However, keep in mind that most of them are the exact same effect: A card is lost in the deck, then you cause the deck to automatically cut at the spot with the card is lost by using (effect 1) a golf club to hit a golf ball against the deck, (effect 2) your foot, (effect 3) a yo-yo, (effect 4) your hand and the card box. There are only 2 other effects. However, these other ones are slightly different and use the gimmick in a more clever way.

Overall, I think this gimmick has a lot of potential and can be used to really baffle people. It's something that can be used with a borrowed deck which is the only way I would ever use this myself. You just have to keep on your person a little "thing" that's about the size of half of a matchbook. It stays in your pocket and is never seen, but it contains the special gimmick. The DVD comes with the gimmick and the little container. For $38 bucks, I'd say it's an ok value. If you're looking for a new way to control cards without having to touch them, I think you'll be very happy with this method.

Final Verdict:
4 Stars with a Stone Status of Gem.
