Random I-Tunes Song of The Moment: Just a Bullet Away By Metallica

Stuff like this is pretty easy to review. You can watch the trailer and decide if you like the effect. If you don't like it, then nothing that I'm about to say matters. However, if you do like it, then maybe you're asking yourself questions about the product, like is it easy? or what's the quality of the gimmick(s)? or is the DVD well produced and easy to learn from? etc. The short answer is yes, excellent and yes, respectively.

Basic Overview

Dani Daortiz is kind of crazy and "all over the place" with excitement . . . kind of reminds me of Juan Tamariz. They're both geniuses, and they both need to stop to take a breath once in a while. That aside, you'll easily be able to learn the effect from the DVD. It's well shot, well lit, well mic'd, and clearly taught even with Daortiz's all-over-the-place-ness.

Keep in mind that this is a fully gimmicked deck that can only be used for this effect, so you'll have to ring in the cooler as they say. That said, however, the deck is clever, easy to use, and the effect is virtually sleight free. What you need to remember is very minimal and easily within the grasp of any performer's skill level and memory.

Final Thoughts

Although the trailer is a bit long and hard to watch at some places, know that this is a very powerful effect, so take the time to see it yourself. Watch the full trailer. If after you've watched the trailer you're interested in the effect, then spend the money. This is an easy decision. The method is simple; the gimmick is well made; and the whole thing is well explained, all for only $35 bucks.

Final Verdict:
4.5 Stars with a Stone Status of Gem.
