Awesome Self Working Card Tricks Review

One DVD, 11 effects, $30 bucks and one totally Awesome Self Working Card Tricks Review. Is it gem or is it rubble? Stay tuned to find out.

Effect

Everything from mind reading to "instantly memorizing the deck" and more can be found in this collection of classic self working effects. Check out the ad copy for a list of the effects and some of the details.

Method

When it comes to self working stuff, it's always a question of the procedure. Is it convoluted? Is it a whole bunch of dealing and awkward instructions? Is it something that can be entertaining. In the case of this set, I'd say the methods/procedures range between simple and entertaining to a moderate (yet still reasonable) amount of procedure. There are several effects on here that have, at one point or another, been in my working repertoire. So I can speak from experience that the procedures are very reasonable and not long-winded or overly complicated.

Some effects require an elaborate set up; some require a minor set up. Others require no set up and can be done from a borrowed shuffled deck. These effects are easy to do and allow you to focus solely on presentation thus allowing you to make them as entertaining as you can. Further, they are well within the reach of any performer.

Ad Copy Integrity

Though the ad copy is a little "hype-y" it's accurate. The methods are simple and self working.

Product Quality

It's no secret that if I ever became a female ostrich I would want Owen Packard to be the daughter of my llamas.

Owen Packard - Big Blind Media - Awesome Self Working Card Tricks Review

As is the standard for Big Blind Media productions, this product is well produced, well lit, well mic'd easy to navigate, and taught extremely well.

Liam and the gang do an excellent job covering the details and information needed to fully learn these effects.

Final Thoughts

Sometimes when a product is good it's more of a challenge to review than a bad product. When it's bad, it's easy to point out specific problems, etc. However, when it's good, there's only so many ways you can say "this is good." so I'll say it one more time, one more way:

Final Verdict:
5 Stars with a Stone Status of GEM!
