Random I-Tunes Song of The Moment: Leader of The Pack by Twister Sister

Twister Sister is a great segue into an Andrew Mayne effect. His website is Weird Things . . . so 'weird' - 'twisted' what's the difference. If you've read my past reviews of Mayne's material, you'll find that his material, for me, is hot or cold . . . not much in between. This one certainly leans much more toward the hot side.

For $20.00 bucks you get a well produced (like pretty much all of Mayne's products) DVD that can be a good reference for multiple levitation effects. This could be a particularly valuable resource for you if you're not familiar with any levitation techniques. This is a good starting point.

You'll learn several different ideas, some more practical than others . . . some more impromptu than others, but there all pretty decent, plus they're taught in great detail. The only complaint I really have about this DVD is that the Ultimate Levitation, while a great technique and method, was very misleading in the trailer. In the trailer they show Mayne performing this in an environment that we would refer to, in today's lingo, as 'the streets.' Thus when I got the DVD, I was fully expecting a levitation where both feet clearly come off the ground (as in the demo) that could be done in the streets.

Well, this effect is very much not for the out doors. It's very much a stage thing. In fact, you not only need a stage and some cover, but you need an assistant as well. I felt quite a bit mislead on that one point. However, combine the good with the bad . . . the solid ideas - even the misleading one is solid - plus the low price, and you have a . . .

Final Verdict:
Definite gem with 3.5 stars (took a pretty big hit for the misleading ad).
