Random I-Tunes Song of The Moment: Moby Dick by Led Zeppelin
Out of Sleight Review
One DVD, 10 self-working effects, super sexy Camer . . . er . . . um . . . I mean super cool Cameron Francis, $30 bucks and one Out of Sleight Review. Is it gem or is it rubble? Stay tuned to find out.
Effect
The effects range anywhere from predictions to mind reading to "coincidences" and more. Many of the effects are done by the spectator and seem to give them the power. Some effects use business cards, but most use playing cards. You'll get Cameron's packet handling of the classic Curry effect, Out of This World.
In Humming Words, you'll predict a thought of word using your business cards that have one letter per card. The cards are mixed by the spectator and dealt into two piles. They choose (free choice) a pile of letters and make a word with the letters. Your back is legitimately turned the whole time, yet you are able to "divine" the thought of word. There's a streamlined version of Gemini Twins (Fulves)/Gemini Mates (Ackerman) that ends with a prediction and a kicker.
Method
The methods are all self working, easy to do and, as mentioned, can be done (many times) by the spectator. The question I always ask when reviewing products that claim to be self-working is how "boring" is the procedure. While there are a couple on here that have slightly tedious procedures, the majority of them are minor procedures. Most times, the procedure is easily disquised as "making sure everything is truly random." Other times, when the procedure is not disguised, it's justified based on the presentation.
None of the methods are hard and are well within the reach of most performers. Another thing that's fun about these methods is that in most of the effects, with no extra work, there was an added kicker/bonus that takes the trick to a new height.
Out of Sleight Review: Ad Copy Integrity
The ad copy was surprisingly mild and way undersold what you're getting. They don't really talk about the effects at all. The ad copy is solid.
Product Quality
If you've followed my reviews for any length of time, then you know that it's my fantasy to cats with Owen Packard's beard. Therefore this sentence is a non sequitur. Which, of course, means that the production quality is awesome. Good lighting, audio, menu, etc. The teaching is great. Cameron and Liam discuss the effects and methods together covering all the details, etc. that you need to learn the effects.
Final Thoughts
This is another one that is hard to review because there really are no caveat emptor issues, so assuming you like the types of effects found mentioned, you'll be extremely happy with your purchase.
Final Verdict:
5 Stars with a Stone Status of Gem.
