Random I-Tunes Song of The Moment: Make No Mistake, She's Mine by Kenny Rogers and Ronnie Milsap

Louie Foxx: Evaporation Review

One gimmicked bottle, one DVD, $35 bucks and one one clever way to vanish liquid and one Evaporation Review. Is it gem, or is it rubble? Stay tuned to find out.

Effect/Method/Ad Copy Integrity

What you're getting is a modern version of a milk pitcher. It's a utility device that makes it look like you're pouring liquid out of a bottle into some receptacle. The gimmick is self-contained and super easy to use and allows for a visual "pouring" of the liquid from the bottle to another container.

The ad copy is 100% dead on. It is exactly what it says it is. Read the ad copy. It covers the effect and all the things the product can do. Also, if you're familiar with the magician's gimmicked milk pitcher, know that this is the same effect, but a totally different (and far superior) method. It truly does reset instantly. The bottle can be handled very freely, and all the other stuff the ad copy says. Read it.

Evaporation Review (Product Quality)

The DVD is not the greatest quality, but it gets the job done. It covers how to use the gimmick, repair it and incorporate it into other bottles. He mentioned that it could be added to glass bottles, but didn't quite show how to prepare the bottle to make it work. I would imagine that there are certain precautions needed when modifying the glass bottle the way that you need to. With plastic bottles, not so much. Either way, the DVD is thorough yet quick. It covers everything you need to know. The bottle itself is already gimmicked and ready to go and works perfectly. It's so simple in concept, and even easier to operate.

Final Thoughts

If you have a need to vanish liquid as it pours out of a bottle, this is a must have. There are so many things you can do with it, and Louie covers tons of ideas. For the asking price, this is a steal and would be a valuable tool for any level of performer for any venue.

Final Verdict:
5 Stars with a Stone Status of GEM!

I’ve seen Louie perform this several times, and it looks awesome! It’s great to see the surprise on people’s faces when they think they are going to get wet but don’t, or when they find out the juice has surprisingly vanished. Like Jeff said, if you need to vanish a liquid, this is the trick for you!

Hope you’re not in a coma by hits point, Jeff…….Well covered review, and appreciate your add about being able to pick up the gimmick so you don’t have to buy the trick again when it wears out. I used a milk pitcher in shows when I was a kid, and still have it. It actually came with a bottle of some strange liquid called “instant milk’…..just add water and it turned white.

Couldn’t bring myself to drink it, however…OK, now I’m rambling too.

You’ve convinced me that it’s a great prop to have, even just to keep in your truck for an impromptu trick at the drive-in coffee place, whatever. Thorough coverage as usual, and your rambling is also appreciated.

  • Alright, now I remember why I don’t come to MagicReviewed.com…I can’t buy everything and your awesome site makes me what to buy stuff… 🙂

Seriously, This looks awesome. Love the idea. The video testimonies during the trailer is enough to make me want it for my family show. I love how organic it is.

@Steven – Funny you should mention that. I’ve just added a new advertising affiliate (Trick Supply). They, likely, carry what you’re looking for.

      . . . and . . . welcome back brother. 🙂

      • Hay Jeff, thanks for the welcome back. And thanks for the link. I’ll check it out.

By the way, people who do Library Summer Reading Programs may find Evaporation great for the Wellness/Fitness/Sports theme that many States will be having.

    Thanks for another outstanding review!

One issue that makes this very different (in a bad way) from a standard Milk Pitcher, is that with Evaporation you can only “fake pour” a small amount of liquiid, only to the top of the label. At least that’s the impression I got from watching the preview video.

Thanks again for a great job of framing this prop/effect.

    Bob

    • @Bob – Thanks for the post. You bring up a good point. The label is needed to help obscure the workings of the effect. It’s not enough to cause a problem unless you need to be able to “pour” an entire bottle.
