Random I-Tunes Song of The Moment: When I Look At You by Miley Cyrus

I think I might just barely recommend this one. For $20, you get a couple of gimmicked cards (ones that you likely already have) and three tricks. However, there are quite a few negative things to cover. First, the lighting and overall footage is really poor quality. Also, it seems that anytime Mr. Forrest needs to make a fidgety move or something, the camera conveniently cuts to a wide shot where you can clearly see Forrest looking down at the cards trying to get them 'just so.'

The effects are decent. However, I really liked the third effect. It's a card to wallet effect with a lot of virtues over many other card to wallets. However, there are some major restrictions. You have to be seated. You have to be wearing a sports coat or suit jacket that's a bit long. Each time you perform, you have to waste the only card in the deck that the trick will work with. So unless you have a one way force deck, you can't do the trick again. This is one that you wouldn't do strolling anyway, but you also don't need tricks that can only be done once with each deck of cards . . . balance, people . . . balance.

The virtue of this version is that it appears you never go near your wallet during the entire routine. Plus the selection appears to be on the table. It instantly vanishes, and you instantly (with empty hands) go to your wallet in your back pocket and (with no phony moves) really pull the card out of your wallet. No gimmicked wallet required, and the card really is in there. The spectator can remove it. But again, the circumstances needed to create this effect may not be worth the extra effort. I will, likely, never do this effect . . . ever, because of the 'rules' for performing this effect. Although I wouldn't perform this effect, it's the best effect on the DVD . . . what's that tell you about the other 2 effects? They're not as good as one that I'll NEVER do.

To be honest, this project feels like something that was kind of thrown together in a hurry because they wanted to unload a bunch of these 'special gimmicks' that they had kickin' around. It felt like the effects were just thrown together to make use of this gimmick - again something that you most likely have. In the beginning, I said that I might recommend this, but the more I think about it, the more I'm not so sure . . . because it's relatively inexpensive (only $20.00) and you can get some decent insight/ideas for card to wallet.

Final Verdict:
2 stars with a Stone Status of Grubble (mostly rubble . . . but may be worthy considering).
