Random I-Tunes Song of The Moment: When You're Gone by Avril Lavigne

At first glance, Boris Wild appears to be a whiney little French man. Turns out however, he's a freakin' genius and arguably one of the most creative guys in our fraternity. The whole whiney little French man thing is just part of his performance personality. By the way, it grows on you. It goes from whiney little French man to lovable little French man.

The Wild DVD set is a three pack of DVDs that teach you how to use two systems that Boris Wild has created that allow you to do absolute miracles with cards. As I watched him perform, even though I knew the basic method for the effects, I was still completely fooled many times. He teaches several applications for his two systems.

Believe me when I say, you WILL be blown away by these DVDs. I'm currently reading Wild's book which is equally amazing. I'll be reviewing it another time. The creativity and ideas put on display in this DVD set are some of the freshest and simplest I've seen in a long time. The methods, for the most part, are so clean and straight-forward that you can completely relax and really put time into your presentation. There are a couple of pieces of rubble in the set, but 95 percent of it is just solid gem status.

The price is about a hundred bucks. Which comes out to about $33 bucks per DVD . . . relatively typical for multiple-effect DVDs. I will say, however that for the price, they could have made the packaging a little more solid. My packaging fell apart the first week I had the DVDs. That aside, this set is well worth the bones you'll spend on it. However, if you're an amateur, you may want to skip this.

The set up involved (a one time set up) is a pain in the butt, but once set up, you'll not have to do it again for many, many, many, many performances. Also, there will be a time and money investment (beyond the DVD price) required to allow you to perform the effects found in this set. It's all 100% card tricks using Wild's systems, but it is some of the most powerful and deceptive card magic I've seen in years. Each effect is a showpiece.

For the workers out there, get it! It's worth every minute and dollar spent to get prepared for these effects. In addition to the price of the DVDs, you'll need to invest a few hours and between $5 and $25 bucks, depending on which route you take to create the 'set up' required.

It's worth it gang.

Final Verdict:
5 Stars with a Stone Status of TOTAL ABSOLUTE GEM!!
